An interior designer should be brimming with tips. Alternate suggestions should pop out of his mouth at beat of an eyelid. With all these qualities, still a home interior decorator would be unable to convey the color of wall or carpet that he has in his mind. Color cannot be conveyed verbally.

It is a known fact that the hardest decision that people have to make about their homes is color. You cannot make up your mind quickly.  The decision won’t arrive easily.  Therefore, how a home decorator should be prepared to handle this issue?

Is there a color chart to aid him? Would the colors in the color chart would be true when they appear in real home?

One can easily get carried away with memories of color seen elsewhere and want to have the same color shade in his home.  For example, if you are sure about painting the living room walls in blue, but not sure what shade of blue is best, a blue color chart can come in quite handy for choosing the best shade.

You can compromise on the type and size of furniture, lightings etc but you won’t (should not) compromise on the color for the walls, rugs and carpets, blinds and furnishings as they are your true identity. Color conveys the character of the house as well his owner.

A color chart can also be a great tool when people are trying to find colors that complement each other for rooms or areas of their home.

Most of the paint shops would give you a color chart. Plus, Internet is a great source for colors and shades.
